History:
To bring these tropical hardwood trees into your living room, we put each tree through a rigorous process. It takes about 30 years for nature to create these stunningly beautiful Coffee Trees. After producing coffee for that time, these trees become nonproductive and dormant. The dormant tree is removed from the ground and replaced with a new tree. At this point, we hand pick from the removed trees choosing only those that meet our stringent requirements. We then painstakingly debark, hand sand, and kiln dry each tree for 30 days. The drying process helps minimize splitting which often occurs in other trees used as play stands.
